Where it All Started

Around 1990, a local businessman had the dream of transforming his family farm into a golf course. With the permission from his lovely wife Nancy, Larry Schofield banned together a group of local business to help sell shares in the course to raise money for the construction of the course, clubhouse, etc. After two years, the course opened 9 holes in June of 1992.
Today, we have about 300 shareholders still invested in the course. 1000 shares are held outside the business so folks that would like to buy in have to find another individual looking to sell. We have a list posted in the clubhouse of shares for sale, management can also provide a list.
Below is a list of the current shareholder benefits. The board of directors have had talks of potentially adding to this but no formal proposals at this time. The past few years, the income generated has gone back into the business for some much needed upgrades such as: Our new fleet of EZGO carts w/ GPS screens, a new pumphouse installed last spring, clubhouse siding and a new roof installed this last winter, etc.
